Choc des Civilisations est à l’origine un livre de l’écrivain algérien Amara Lakhous, véritable succès de librairie partout où il a été traduit. Sous la forme d’une enquête policière, il parle de l’immigration, de l’incommunicabilité dans nos sociétés, sans tomber dans le cliché, la moralisation ou le manichéisme.

Adapté par le Collectif 8, Choc des Civilisations est un spectacle hybride entre le Cinéma et le Théâtre : le spectacle d’un film en train de s’écrire, d’une intrigue qui progresse au gré de l’enquête. Le personnage principal du film en est le réalisateur, tandis que les comédiens de théâtre vont devenir les acteurs du film. Un spectacle qui se joue des frontières de la fiction et du réel.

"Choc des civilisations" is originally a book of the Algerian writer Amara Lakhous, best seller everywhere it was translated. Under the shape of a police investigation, he speaks about the immigration, about the incommunicability in our societies, without falling in the cliché, the raising of moral standards or the Manicheanism.

Adapted by the Collectif 8, "Choc des civilisations" is a hybrid show between the Cinema and the Theater: the show of a film spelling, of an intrigue which progresses according to the investigation. The central figure of the film is the director, whereas the stage actors are going to become the actors of the film. A show which deceives borders of the fiction and the reality.
